Let n = number of girls
Since there are 11 more boys than girls,
Let n+11 = number of boys
Since the total number of children in the class is 24,
girls + boys = total
n + n + 11 = 24
2n + 11 = 24
2n = 24 - 11
2n = 13
n = 6.5 girls
n+11 = 17.5 boys
...which cannot be, since number of people cannot be a fraction or decimal lol. There must be a typo in the problem.
