I think the idea here is for you to become accustomed to metric units. So let me give you some conversions and you can eyeball them and answer your question. There are about 80 kilometers in 50 miles or about 1.6 km/mile.
For smaller distances, my waist is about 34 inches and there are about 2.54 cm in 1 inch.
A hair is very small. 1 mm = about 0.039 inches
There are about 3 meters in a yard (3 feet)
