A 3 ohm, a 5 ohm, and a 4 ohm resistor are connected in series across a battery. The voltage drop across a 3 ohm resistor is 6 V. What is the battery voltage?

3 ohm R. voltage drop is 6v so I = E/R and that I is the I through the circit.

5 ohm frop = IR
4 ohm drop is IR
total voltage is sum of drops across each.
