The gardener went to the market to buy 100 animals for a total of IDR 1.000.000. If the price of cow IDR. 50,000 /cow and goat IDR 10,000 /goat , rabbit IDR 5000 /rabbit , how many of each kind of animal which can he buy ?
I wrote :
Cow = X = 50.000
Goat = Y = 10.000
Rabbit = Z = 5000
the equations :
X+Y+Z = 100
50000X + 10000Y + 5000Z = 1000000 (divide this by 5000), so, :
10 X + 2 Y + Z = 200
Then ?? Help me..

eliminate z and you have
100-x-y = 200-10x-2y
9x+y = 100
So, you could let
x=10, y=10, that would make z=80
Or, you could have
x=1,y=91, so z=8
There is no unique solution.
