There's 36 possible outcomes, right? I got the answer of 1/4 by actually rolling the die...but I am unsure how to do the calculations.

Make a chart using rows and columns from 1 - 6
Fill in the sums, you will find that 18 will be even and 18 will be odd
So prob(sum is odd) = 18/36 = 1/4
