                a gas is placed in a 3.56L flask at 1.00 atm pressure. If the volume of the flask is reduced by half, what is the new pressure?
V-3.56

I don't know what formula to use and how to apply it.

    Assuming the temperature remains constant, you can use Boyle's law, which says that
PV=constant (at constant temperature)
or
P1*V1 = P2*V2

PV=constant (at constant temperature)
or
P1*V1 = P2*V2
