If the 2nd piece is x, then
x+3.57 + x + x+2.97 = 15
x+3.57 + x + x+2.97 = 15

(x+3.57)+x+(x+2.97)=15
3.57+2.97+3x=15
6.54+3x=15
3x=15-6.54
3x=8.46
x=8.46/3
x=2.82
2.82+3.57+2.82+2.97+2.82=15
6.39+2.82+5.79=15
3.57+2.97+3x=15
6.54+3x=15
3x=15-6.54
3x=8.46
x=8.46/3
x=2.82
2.82+3.57+2.82+2.97+2.82=15
6.39+2.82+5.79=15
