Which polynomial does the model represent?

No idea, but it sure sounds like a silly way to model algebraic expressions.

I can't decide just what means what

Clearly the question is garbled, or some geometric grouping is to suggest multiplication, or some-dang-thing else.

I can't figure this out, but I do know what tmesis means!
