What do you want to say? Write out a outline of maybe one to three points you want to make. Now, on those points, what evidence or arguement can you make to support that point?
Start writing a draft of paragraphs to support your points.
Now, do you have a conclusion? Can you now write a thesis for the essay? now werite the introduction paragraph.
Let the dreft sit for a spell, overnight if possible.
Then go back and clean it up.
The point is, you will always be stuck trying to write an introduction paragraph if you have not yet figured out what you wnat to say.
the same principle applies to public speaking.
