Can you help me solve by factoring:
x^2 - 13x = -12

First get all the terms on one side and zero on the other.
x^2-13x +12 = 0
Then factor:
(x-12)(x-1) = 0
You have a solution when either factor is zero. That should tell you what the x values are that satisfy the equation.
