Q. On Friday night 2,950 people attended the rodeo, and 3,159 people attended Saturday night, if the stadium seats 4,000 people, how many seats were there for the two nights?
-
A. So do I subtract 3,159 - 4,000 = 951 & add 951 + 3,159 ?

Add the number of attendees for both nights. Subtract the sum from 4,000.
