I know that 1 m = 100 cm
(___kg/cm^3)(100cm/1m)^3
I cube 100cm/1m, because I wanted cubic centimeter rather than just centimeter.
Notice that my units for cubic centimeters cancel/divide because I multiply the cubic centimeters in the numerator.
You do the same thing for the second problem, but you have the units both in the numerator and denominator to worry about.
You know that 1000g=1kg and 1m=100cm
first convert cm^3 to m^3
(___g/cm^3)(100cm/1m)^3
=__g/m^3
then convert g to kg
(__g/m^3)(1kg/1000g)
=___kg/m^3
(___kg/cm^3)(100cm/1m)^3
