3.14x radius squared by 2 is the formula for area. So 3.14x7 squares by 2 is 153.86. Than multiply that by 1/8 and get your answer of 134.6

why 7/8 though? Why not pi x 7^2?

Since Chris ate 1/8 of the banana cream pie, and we are trying to find the remaining portion of the pie, there is 7/8 of the pie left. If we use the formula A=πr^2 we get a total area of 153.94 in^2 (rounded to the hundreds). So the area of the total banana cream pie is 153.94 in^2 and we are trying to find out how much is left after Chris ate the 1/8 of the cream pie since there is 7/8 of the pie remaining we can simply multiply 153.94 to 7/8 to get the remaining amount. This comes out to 134.70 in^2 which is the area of the remaining portion

SO THE ANSWER IS 134.70 in^2 (rounded to the hundreds)
