6 and 2/7 divided by 2 and 3/4.

I'm very bad at dividing fractions. I just got into this subject of dividing fractions and I'm really bad at it. If you could explain how to divide this expression, that'd be great. Thanks :).

First change the fractions to improper fractions.

6 2/7 = 44/7
As you can see, I multiplied the whole number by the denominator and added 2 to the numerator.

2 3/4 = 11/4

(44/7) / (11/4)

In order to multiply fractions, we invert the divisor and multiply.

(44/7) * (4/11) = 176/77 = 2 2/7
