{-3x+-2y=12

What is the y-value of the solution to this system of equations?
A. -7
B. -3
C. -2
D. -1

I tried them all and I must have did something wrong because none of them worked. Help please!! Thanks.

must have <u>done</u>

since 3x+y = -9,
-3x = y+9

using that, we have

(y+9)-2y = 12
-y = 3
y = -3
