James has a board that is 3/4 foot long. He wants to cut the board into pieces that's each 1/8 foot long. How many pieces can James cut from the board?

How many pieces? 3/4 is the same as 6/8
so there must be 6 pieces that are one eighth foot long, at least here in Texas.

Yes the answer is he can cut the board into 6 pieces. All you have to do is use a fraction grid, then see how many 1/8's goes into 3/4s.
