To make 4 1/2 gallons of ice cream, it takes 6 3/10 gallons of milk. How many gallons of milk does it take to make one gallon of ice cream?

Your problem must have an error in it. If you're sure you copied it correctly, then please ask your teacher about it.
You can't possibly have almost two gallons of milk more than the amount of the finished ice cream.

I did not have to copy the problem. This is the way it is written in my math text/workbook.

Please tell your teacher that your problem has a mistake in it. Ask her/him to explain it to you.
