                sam gave jen 1/2 jujubes. jen ate 1/2 of the jujubes and gave the rest to kyle. Kyle kept 8 of them and gave the last 10 to kim. How many jujubes did jen eat?

since Sam gave 1/2 to Jen, and Jen gave 1/2 of those to Kyle, she gave 1/4 to Kyle
but Kyle ate 8 and gave 10 away, so he must have received 12 jujubesm, which would also have been 1/4 of the original number
so 1/4 of that number was 12, so there were 48 to start with.
We found that she ate 1/4 of the total, so she ate 12

    I belive that jen ate 18 jujubes because Kyle kept 8 and gave the last 10 to kim meaning that before he gave them away he had 18. So Jen must have given kyle 18 or half. and because its half jen would have gotten 36 in which he ate half which is 18.
