What is the value of x, given PQ || BC?
Triangle: A, B, C with bisector PQ

PB = x

QC = 18

Apparently PQ is not a bisector. It is just parallel to BC.

So,

AQ/QC = AP/PB
12/18 = 8/x
x = 12
