What is the value of x, given PQ || BC?
Triangle: A, B, C with bisector PQ
AP = 8
PB = x
AQ = 12
QC = 18
Triangle: A, B, C with bisector PQ

Apparently PQ is not a bisector. It is just parallel to BC.
So,
AQ/QC = AP/PB
12/18 = 8/x
x = 12
So,
AQ/QC = AP/PB
12/18 = 8/x
x = 12

The updated version has different lengths:
AP=6
PB=12
and QC= 26
So if yours looks like this I believe the answer is 13
