P = Perimeter
L = Length
W = Width
P = 2 W + 2 L = 2 ( W + L )
L = 2 W
P = 2 ( W + L ) = 2 ( W + 2 W ) = 2 * 3 W = 6 W
48 = 6 W Divide both sides by 6
48 / 6 = 6 W / 6
8 = W
W = 8 ft
L = 2 W = 2 * 8 = 16 ft
P = 2 ( W + L ) = 2 ( 8 + 16 ) = 2 * 24 = 48 ft
L = Length
W = Width
P = 2 W + 2 L = 2 ( W + L )
L = 2 W
P = 2 ( W + L ) = 2 ( W + 2 W ) = 2 * 3 W = 6 W
48 = 6 W Divide both sides by 6
48 / 6 = 6 W / 6
8 = W
W = 8 ft
L = 2 W = 2 * 8 = 16 ft
P = 2 ( W + L ) = 2 ( 8 + 16 ) = 2 * 24 = 48 ft

A = W * L = 8 * 16 = 128 ft ^ 2
