since the figure is isosceles, JK=LM, so
8x+5 = 10x+4
Find x, then you know all the sides. Then, the area is
(b+B)/2 h = (JM+KL)/2 * h
where JK^2 = h^2 + ((KL-JM)/2)^2
8x+5 = 10x+4
Find x, then you know all the sides. Then, the area is
(b+B)/2 h = (JM+KL)/2 * h
where JK^2 = h^2 + ((KL-JM)/2)^2

In trapezoid JKLM, segment JK = 8 centimeters, segment LM = 16 centimeters, segment JM = 11 centimeters, and segment KL = 8 centimeters.
