f(x)=3x-7 and g(X)=-2x-6. Find (f o g)(4)

2 answers

im confused
(f◦g)(4) = f(g(4)) = f(-14) = -49
since g(4) = -2(4)-6 = -14
and f(-14) = 3(-14)-7 = -49

or, you can just define

(f◦g)(x) = f(g) = 3g-7 = 3(-2x-6)-7 = -6x+25
so, (f◦g)(4) = -24-25 = -49
