Which property of aluminium makes it suitable to be used for overhead electricity cables

It conducts electricity well, that is the main propery, otherwise it would not be used. The fact that it is lightweight is a bonus property. It is not strong, and ice causes issues, and cost is a second negative.
The final property that is an advantage is corrosion resistance, rain does not cause much corrosion.
