Question
In a truck of red and green peppers the ratio of red peppers to green peppers is 3:4.if the truck contains 120 green peppers,how many red peppers are there?
Answers
since the ratio is constant,
3/4 = x/120
3/4 = x/120
total is x of red and green
120 = 4/7x
120(7) = 7(4/7x)
840 = 4x
x = 210
red = total - green
red = 210 - 120
red = 90
120 = 4/7x
120(7) = 7(4/7x)
840 = 4x
x = 210
red = total - green
red = 210 - 120
red = 90
Ms. Sue
3/4 = x/120
Cross multiply and solve for x.
4x = 360
x = 90
Cross multiply and solve for x.
4x = 360
x = 90
