This question has been asked earlier today, and frankly it looks as if no one knows.

You'll need to check your text or read lots of these search results.

Multispectral analysis is a tool/technique that can be used on a wide variety of artifacts but is especially useful on large objects that cannot be transported outside of a conservator’s laboratory. Using imaging that captures information from color spectrums not visible to the naked eye, multispectral analysis can detect the presence of hidden or erased writing and images. This multifaceted tool can also identify pigments and analyze techniques and technologies used in art creation, all without damaging the original piece by taking a sample. This is what my schooling says.
