n = numerator

d = denominator

n = d - 2

( n - 3 ) / ( d - 3 ) = 3 / 4

( d - 2 - 3 ) / ( d - 3 ) = 3 / 4

( d - 5 ) / ( d - 3 ) = 3 / 4 Multiply both sides by 4

4 ( d - 5 ) / ( d - 3 ) = ( 3 / 4 ) *4

4 ( d - 5 ) / ( d - 3 ) = 3 Multiply both sides by ( d - 3 )

4 ( d - 5 ) ( d - 3 ) / ( d - 3 ) = 3 ( d - 3 )

4 ( d - 5 ) = 3 ( d - 3 )

4 d - 20 = 3 d - 9 Subtract 3 d to both sides

4 d - 20 - 3 d = 3 d - 9 - 3 d

d - 20 = - 9 Add 20 to both sides

d - 20 + 20 = - 9 + 20

d = 11

n = d - 2 = 9

Numerator = 9

Denumerator = 11
