The range of the function
y=tan pi x is abs(y) > (greater than or equal to) A
The value of A is
(a) 0
(b)2
(c)- infinity
(d)+ infinity

since we are talking about |y| it is always positive
if x = 0
tan 0 = 0 so 0 is in the range
when x = 1/2 we have tan pi/2 = oo
tan -pi/2 = -oo but |y|=oo again
so |y| ranges from 0 to infinity
and |y| is always ≥ 0
if x = 0
tan 0 = 0 so 0 is in the range
when x = 1/2 we have tan pi/2 = oo
tan -pi/2 = -oo but |y|=oo again
so |y| ranges from 0 to infinity
and |y| is always ≥ 0
