Is 2√6 = √6 ???????

Are 2 apples the same as 1 apple ?
Are 200 kg equal to 100 kg ?
etc ?

Don't you have a calculator?

I mean when 2 is the index.

I have no clue what you mean.
Type it out in symbols instead of words

To me "2square root 6 the same as square root 6"
means
2√6 = √6

in that case, yes. If there is no index, 2 is assumed.

Online, its usually better to say

sqrt for square root
cbrt for cube root
4throot, 5throot, etc.

x^(1/n) for the nth root.

It's too easy to mistake the desired index for a multiplier.

If you really want to use the index as you did, just type 2root or 3root.

"square root" always means index of 2.

mmmh,
"square root" always means index 1/2
"square" always means index 2
