Find the ratio of x to y:
1.4x=5y
2.mx=ny
3.xa+xb=yc+yd

Please help me. Thanks!!! :) :)

You just want to find x/y. I'll do #3, as the first two are trivial.

xa+xb = yc+yd
x(a+b) = y(c+d)
x/y = (c+d)/(a+b)
