If she started with d dollars, and bought y yards, then we are told
29.50y + 12.00 = d
19.75*2y = d+28.00
So, she started with $130 and bought 4 yards.
check:
29.50*4 = 118, leaving 12 left over
19.75*8 = 158, $28 too much
29.50y + 12.00 = d
19.75*2y = d+28.00
So, she started with $130 and bought 4 yards.
check:
29.50*4 = 118, leaving 12 left over
19.75*8 = 158, $28 too much
