Ariel bought several bags of caramel candy and taffy. the number of bags of taffy was 5 more than the number bags of candy. taffy bags weigh 8 oz each and caramel bags weigh 16 oz each.the total weight of the bags was 400 oz. how many bags of candy did she buy?

8 t + 16 c = 400

8 t - 8 c = 40
8 t + 16c = 400
