A student ticket to a flower show costs $6.00 plus a 5% handling fee. The local schools receive a special group discount. A scholl can determine the total cost of tickets by using the formula below.

T = Total cost

N = Nmber of tickets purchased

D = Discount rate

T = n(6+6(.05))-d(6+6(.05))

If the discount rate is 20%, what equation can be used to determine the total cost of the tickets.

If the discount rate is 20%, just substitute 0.2 for d in your equation

T = n [6+6(.05)-0.2(6+6(.05))]

Note that the n multiples all terms. I used brackets to clarify that. I think your original equation omitted an important pair of parentheses.
