1 mile = about 1.61 km.
Multiply: 25,000 * 1.61 = ? km
1 km = 1,000 m
Multiply your km answer by 1,000.

To be more accurate for the meters --
1 mile = 1 609.344 meters
Multiply: 25,000 * 1,609.344 = ? m
1 mile = 1 609.344 meters
Multiply: 25,000 * 1,609.344 = ? m

The more accurate answer is 40,233,600 meters. But many teachers would probably accept the other answer, also.
