1 mile = about 1.61 km.

Multiply: 25,000 * 1.61 = ? km

1 km = 1,000 m

Multiply your km answer by 1,000.
Answered by Ms. Sue
To be more accurate for the meters --

1 mile = 1 609.344 meters

Multiply: 25,000 * 1,609.344 = ? m

thanks for clearing that up for me!

when i multiplied km by 1000 i ended up getting 40250000

but when i mutiplied 25000x1609.344 i ended up getting 40233600

Which one is the right answer?
Answered by Ms. Sue
The more accurate answer is 40,233,600 meters. But many teachers would probably accept the other answer, also.
