a ship covered a distance of 41 km due north and then 23 km due east and again 15 km towards north direction.how far is it from the point where it started?

so in effect the ship went 41 + 15 or 56 north
and 23 east.
so
d^2 = 56^2 + 23^2 = 3665
d =√3665 = 60.5 km
