Is number two 1y+3?
And I'm confused with number three.

2. No.
We don't put 1 before an unknown. And 2 - 1 = 1

4y - 1 - 3y + 2 = y + 1

3.
x + 2(x - 4) = x + 2x -8 = 3x - 8
