Hello, please could someone help?
Will calcium chloride (CaCl) granules be a suitable drying agent for drying hydrogen selenide (H2Se) gas? Or, will the calcium chloride granules also absorb the H2 from the H2Se?
Thank you.
Calcium chloride is CaCl2. It is an excellent drying agent fr H2O. Because H2Se is chemically similar to H2O (since Se is below O in the periodic table), it may also work with H2Se as well. It will not remove H2 from the H2Se.
Thank you drwls. Much appreciated.
