semir sold 3 times as many meals as sarah
x=3*y

sung sold 2 more meals than sarah.
z=2+y

y=y

so
3*y + y + (2+y) = meals sold

you can simplify more

3y+2y+2

then semir sold 3x
and sung sold x+2
