Did you count how many places the decimal point was moved?

scientific notation has a single digit number, followed by a decimal
only A andB fit that property.

look at the original number and compare it to A
the decimal moved 8 places to the right, count them
when you see 10^(negative) it represents a small number
when you see 10^(positive) it means you are dealing with a number greater than 10

now 0.0000.... looks pretty small to me, so
A is the correct choice, you were right.
