Who said the quote "it was my heart that counseled me to do it and my heart cannot err"


I don't know, and can't find it. However, I can tell you the person who stated it is not very wise: evil is in us all, and we have to think about what we do, not just do it.

It was a German poet from the Romantic Era, but I can't think of a name. Sorry.
