What is the theme or message of the poem The Bull Moose by Alden Nowlan?
i know the poem is a reference to the crucifix of Jesus but i am not sure about the theme

My interpretation is that in the end, a brave man or moose looks death in the eye, proud of who or what he is.

My interpretation is that the moose resembles Christ due to the pain the moose has gone through, similarly to what Christ went through, such as the crown of thorns, and with the moose a girl puts a purple cap on him.
