multiply each term by 15x

15 + 15 + 240x = x
239x = -30
x = -30/239

That is the correct solution for the way you presented the equation, but ....

I have a sneaking suspicion that you meant

1/x + 1/(x+16) = 1/15

In that case multiply each term by 15x(x+16)
You will end up with a quadratic
