a school playground is the shape of a rectangle 500 ft long and 100 ft wide. If fencing costs $16 per yard, what would it cost to place fencing around the playground

P = 2L + 2W

P = (2 * 500) + (2 * 100)

P = 1200 feet

Divide the number of feet by 3 and multiply by 16.

1200/3=400

400*16=6400
