x+3 = -3/4 (equivalent ratio)
can you explain the steps which you use to get this answer and why you use them . I am sorry I am a disable student and it hard some time to grasp this math fo rme.

There must be more to this problem than just
(y-1)/(x+3) = -3/4
That is the equation of a straight line
4 y - 4 = -3 x - 9

4 y = -3 x - 5

y = -(3/4)x - 5/4
