Or is Yosemite a valley called "Yosemite Valley"?
Is Yosemite Valley in Yosemite, an area?

When do you use "Yosemite"? If somebody says, "I'm going to Yosemite." where is he going? Yosemite(an area, acity, etc.), Yosemite Valley, or Yosemite National Park?

Yosemite is a valley. But when people say they're going to Yosemite, they usually mean they're going to the large national park in the area, Yosemite National Park.
