After isolating the sulfonated product, the filtrate volume is found to be 25.25 mL. A dilution using 1 mL of filtrate and 99 mL of water gives a solution with an absorbance of 0.427. How many moles of indigo carmine were produced? (Molar absorptivity of indigo carmine was found to be 12,100 M-1cm-1)

e = molar absorptivity
A = ebc and I assume b (length cell) is 1 cm), then
0.427 = 12,100*C
Solve for C in mols/L (and I'll call that C) in the diluted solution. In the initial 25.25 mL sample, molarity is C x 100
