Find the equation of the parabola with directrix x + 1 = 0 and y = 1, and the length of the latus rectum is 4. Sketch the graph.

x+1 = 0
X = -1 = h = axis.

1/a = 4 = Latus rectum
a = 1/4
1/4a = 1/1 = 1
k = y+1/4a = 1 + 1 = 2.
Y2 = k+1/4a = 2 + 1 = 3.
Y = a(x-h)^2 + k
Y = 1/4(x+1)^2 + 2
