2.5-4x+7+6x =
2.5 + 7 - 4x + 6x =
9.5 + 2x
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
4. 2(x-14)+ 3(3x+5)
Is 4 the number of the problem? Or is 4.2 part of the problem?
The number of the problem
Ms. Sue
Thanks.
Then 2 must be the number of your first problem.
2(x-14)+ 3(3x+5)
2x - 28 + 9x + 15
11x - 13
Then 2 must be the number of your first problem.
2(x-14)+ 3(3x+5)
2x - 28 + 9x + 15
11x - 13
I showed you how to do problem number 4.
Can you solve problem number 2 now?
No I can't , because two isn't part of the problem
In order to solve 5-4x+7+6x, you must first combine like terms.
-4x + 6x = -2x
Here's your next equation:
5+7-2x
Next, you add 5 and 7 together.
5 + 7 = 12
Finally, after you do that, you get the last equation:
12-2x
This is your final answer.
Hope this helps you for number 2!
Need help on 4 more problem that is it I tried about 5 times each still got wrong
1) an architect built a model of a 220ft tall building . The model is 25inches tall and 10inches wide. How wide is the actual building , I know the answer is 88 but how do u get it.
1= -3y +19
h/6 - 11 = -22
10x-2(x -8) =14
By the way -- Brady's answer is not correct.
Oh Ms. Sue, is the mistake -2x? It's supposed to be a positive 2x.
If so, the final answer should have been:
12+2x
That's the only mistake that I noticed. I hate it when I do mistakes like that. It happens all the time for me.
Back to your 4 problems Rian. - I can't help much with the first problem, but I know how to get the answers for the other three. However, I am just going to do 2 of those problems for you.
2nd problem:
1 = -3y + 19
(1 - 19) = -3y (+ 19 - 19)
-18 = -3y + 0
-18 = -3y
(-18/-3) = (-3y/-3)
6 = y
Now double-check:
1 = -3(6) + 19
1 = (-18) + 19
1 = 1
So, 6 is the answer for this one because you were supposed to solve for y.
3rd Problem:
h/6 - 11 = -22
h/6 (- 11 + 11) = (-22 + 11)
h/6 - 0 = -11
h/6 = -11
(h/6 * 6/1) = (-11*6)
h = -66
Now double-check:
(-66/6) - 11 = -22
(-11) - 11 = -22
-22 = -22
So, -66 is the answer to that problem because you were supposed to solve for h.
There you go, and hopefully you understand how to do the problems above. Now, try doing your 4th problem like the way I did it above. I hope this helps!
2nd problem:
1 = -3y + 19
(1 - 19) = -3y (+ 19 - 19)
-18 = -3y + 0
-18 = -3y
(-18/-3) = (-3y/-3)
6 = y
Now double-check:
1 = -3(6) + 19
1 = (-18) + 19
1 = 1
So, 6 is the answer for this one because you were supposed to solve for y.
3rd Problem:
h/6 - 11 = -22
h/6 (- 11 + 11) = (-22 + 11)
h/6 - 0 = -11
h/6 = -11
(h/6 * 6/1) = (-11*6)
h = -66
Now double-check:
(-66/6) - 11 = -22
(-11) - 11 = -22
-22 = -22
So, -66 is the answer to that problem because you were supposed to solve for h.
There you go, and hopefully you understand how to do the problems above. Now, try doing your 4th problem like the way I did it above. I hope this helps!
