I have a huge test tmr. stuck on this have no idea why? Can anyone help me figure this quadratic equation? PLEASE !

6(x^2 -2) = 12

6x^2 -12 = 12, then
6x^2 -24 = 0
6(x^2-4) = 0
6(x+2)(x-2) = 0
x = +2
