Draw a diagram. If half the chord has length x, you have a right triangle.
5^2+x^2 = (5√3)^2
x^2+25=75
x^2=50
x = 5√2
So, XY = 10√2
5^2+x^2 = (5√3)^2
x^2+25=75
x^2=50
x = 5√2
So, XY = 10√2
