In 1959 the inch was internationally defined in terms of the centimetre
1 inch = 2.54 centimetres

So if you want any precision you have to go back to that basic definition.

c)
80 in = 80(2.54) cm
= 203.2 cm
= 2.032 metres

once you have converted to any of the metric units, the rest is easy, all you have to do is move the decimal for the different units

f)
.4 miles
= .4(5280)(12) inches
= 25344 inches
= 64373.76 centimetres
= 643.7376 metres

d)
3.8 ft
= 3.8(12) inches
= 45.6 inches
= 115.824 cm
= 1.15824 m
or appr 1.16 metres

The logical thing to do of course is not to convert at all, but rather stay within one system, preferably the metric system

Personally, I grew up in Germany with the metric system, had to convert to imperial when I came to Canada as a teenager, but then when Canada became metric in 1972 , it was easy again to be in metric.
